About PMI

Throughout my career I’ve had the privilege of working with leaders from a wide range of industries and organizations, and from all walks of life. Over time I have observed that leaders tend to travel down one of two paths on their journey to success. On one path leaders thrive in their careers and in life as a whole, and it’s a beautiful thing. The other path is one of regret—leaders having achieved “success”…but at the expense of their own well-being, or important relationships, or both. One day I realized that I was on that latter path and I knew I needed to make some changes before it was too late. But I didn’t want to stop there. I also knew that I wanted to help other leaders find a better path to success.
And so, I decided to create a consulting firm that was dedicated to helping leaders experience success in more healthy and holistic ways…to truly thrive and to do so sustainably. In late 2001 I founded PMI.
At Pathway we believe that life flashes by in the blink of an eye, and that it is important—no, essential—to embrace every moment we’re given. We believe that leaders are at their very best when they experience success in healthy ways. We also believe that when leaders thrive in a holistic sense, their organizations and the world around them are much more likely to do the same. And, we believe that leaders are made, like everything else of substance, through hard work.
Our mission is clear. We exist to help leaders and their organizations thrive on a sustainable basis.
To fulfill our mission we serve as a leadership consultant, chief strategist and advisor to leaders of organizations of all shapes and sizes. Our niche is working with closely held companies and family-owned enterprises. Many of our clients are contemplating significant changes in their business models or ownership strategies when they contact us, and they choose Pathway Management because of our track record of helping leaders work through complex challenges to accomplish their missions.
Our expertise in strategic planning, ownership exit strategy planning, succession management, and leadership and organizational development enables us to customize solutions to fit each client’s unique situation. We are known for our effectiveness in facilitating desired outcomes because of the trust we build with our clients, their associates and key advisors, and for the keen insights and creative ideas we bring to the table.
